Nosana Joins The AI Coalition for the Netherlands: What’s Next
Nosana is officially joining The AI Coalition for the Netherlands, a public-private ecosystem that brings together companies, knowledge institutions, researchers, government organizations and other participants working on the development and responsible adoption of AI in the Netherlands. For us, this is an important step into a much broader national AI network, connecting our work in decentralized infrastructure with organizations shaping AI across industry, research and the public sector.
As a company founded in the Netherlands, joining the coalition also brings us closer to the AI ecosystem at home. After years of building a global decentralized GPU network and working with developers and AI projects around the world, we now have an opportunity to bring that experience back into a Dutch ecosystem where some of the most important conversations about AI development, adoption and infrastructure are taking place.
Where Industry, Research and the Public Sector Meet
One of the strengths of The AI Coalition for the Netherlands is the range of organizations it brings into the same ecosystem. AI companies, universities, research institutions, public-sector bodies and organizations from established industries participate in the coalition, creating opportunities for ideas and experience to move between groups that approach AI from very different perspectives.
That exchange is becoming increasingly important as AI moves deeper into real products, businesses and public services. Companies are figuring out how to implement it, researchers are advancing the underlying technology, public institutions are addressing questions around responsible adoption and policy, and infrastructure providers are building the systems needed to run it. Bringing these perspectives together creates room for more practical collaboration around what AI development in the Netherlands actually requires.
Connecting Nosana With the Broader Dutch AI Ecosystem
Nosana has built much of its presence within decentralized infrastructure, Web3 and AI communities, with our decentralized GPU network now serving developers and AI workloads globally. Joining The AI Coalition for the Netherlands creates a bridge between that world and a much broader network of organizations working on AI across the country.
That creates opportunities to work with companies and institutions applying AI in areas such as healthcare, energy, education, research and public services, where infrastructure questions quickly become practical. How accessible is the compute required to experiment? How efficiently can resources be used? What happens when a project needs to scale? And how can organizations gain more choice in the infrastructure available to them?
Being part of the coalition also gives us the opportunity to learn from organizations much closer to sector-specific implementation, research, policy and end users. Those perspectives matter because the future of AI infrastructure will ultimately be shaped by what the organizations building and deploying AI actually need from it.
Bringing Decentralized Infrastructure to the Conversation
Nosana brings experience in turning distributed GPU capacity into infrastructure that can run real AI workloads. Instead of compute being concentrated exclusively within infrastructure owned and operated by large centralized providers, our network connects capacity from distributed GPU providers and makes it accessible to developers and organizations through a shared network.
This gives us a distinct perspective to contribute as demand for AI compute continues to grow. How GPU capacity is sourced, accessed and utilized is becoming an increasingly important question for startups, researchers, developers and organizations building with AI, particularly as workloads become more demanding and the infrastructure behind them becomes more strategically important.
Within The AI Coalition for the Netherlands, we want to show what decentralized infrastructure can add to that landscape: broader access to GPU compute, more efficient use of distributed resources, greater flexibility for builders and another way to scale AI workloads. It is a perspective we are excited to bring into conversations with organizations shaping the next stage of AI development in the Netherlands.
What Comes Next
Joining The AI Coalition for the Netherlands connects Nosana with a network that reaches across technology, research, industry and the public sector. For a Dutch-founded company that has spent years building decentralized infrastructure for a global market, it is an opportunity to become more deeply involved in the AI ecosystem developing at home.
We look forward to sharing what we have learned from building decentralized GPU infrastructure, learning from organizations tackling AI from entirely different angles, and exploring new collaborations across the coalition. Most importantly, we want to help make decentralized infrastructure part of a broader conversation about how the Netherlands builds, accesses and scales the compute behind its AI ambitions.
