Grants for Bold Ideas and New-Wave AI Projects

For the vibers cooking the next chapter of decentralized AI, backed by $5,000-$50,000 in funding!

How it works

Grants Program Timeline: How to participate

A quick look at the journey from application to grant decision.

01

Application Open

Submit your project at any time. Applications are open year-round. Include your project overview, roadmap, team details, and how you plan to use Nosana compute.

02

Review Period

Your application is evaluated within ~2 weeks by the Grants Committee using a structured rubric. If needed, the committee may request clarification on milestones, technical approach, or compute usage.

03

Decision & notification

You'll receive an email with the outcome. Accepted teams proceed to milestone confirmation and onboarding. Teams not selected receive feedback and may reapply in a future cycle. This step may also involve community governance as part of the process.

04

Build & Milestone Delivery

Teams work on their AI project using Nosana GPUs and deliver milestone outputs. The Foundation verifies milestone completion before releasing the next tranche.

05

Post-Launch Support

Approved projects may receive optional post-launch support, including marketing visibility across Nosana's website and social channels.

Benefits

Program Benefits

The Nosana Grants Program supports technically strong teams building AI applications, infrastructure, or tooling that run on decentralized GPU compute.

Fueling the Future of
Decentralized AI
Compute

$5K-$50K

Milestone-based financial support provided in USDC, NOS, and GPU credits (compute you can use on Nosana).

Full Ownership & IP

Non-dilutive support — everything you create stays yours.

Ecosystem Exposure

Showcase your work across the Nosana ecosystem. Connect with partners, collaborators, and early adopters.

Community Access

Access to a network of developers, contributors, and AI builders using decentralized GPU compute.

Build with Nosana

Where the next wave of AI is emerging and what's worth building next (not limited to)

AI Infrastructure

Foundational layers that make AI run anywhere. Examples: model hosting, scalable inference, deployment layers, decentralized compute, scheduling systems.

Developer Tooling

Everything that helps builders move faster. Examples: SDKs, CLIs, IDE plugins, debugging tools, observability dashboards.

Network Growth & Protocol Extensions

Ways the network grows, evolves, and self-reinforces. Examples: staking models, governance tools, protocol upgrades, incentive mechanisms.

AI Applications

Where AI meets people and products. Examples: agents, copilots, creative tools, recommendation systems, emerging MCP-style apps.

Training, Inference & Data Pipelines

The flows that shape how models learn and perform. Examples: data prep, training loops, evaluation flows, experiment tracking, optimization pipelines.

Automation Systems

Systems that quietly take care of the busywork. Examples: workflow schedulers, orchestration layers, job runners, automated pipelines.

Agent Systems

Everything that empowers autonomous AI to act. Examples: agent runtimes, coordination protocols, multi-agent patterns, agent plugins, marketplaces.

Emerging Concepts & Other Ideas

New directions that don't fit in a box (yet). Examples: AI × DePIN primitives, decentralized model hosting, novel coordination ideas.

Powering the Future of AI Models

Inferia, an AI research tooling startup, needed a scalable GPU backend to run large-volume inference workloads without relying on centralized cloud providers.

How proposals are evaluated

The Grants Committee reviews each application based on:

  • Strength of the technical approach
  • Potential ecosystem or community impact
  • Clarity and feasibility of the roadmap
  • Team capability and delivery track record
  • Depth and relevance of Nosana compute usage

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of projects are eligible for a grant?

Projects must use (or plan to use) Nosana's decentralized GPU network for training, inference, deployment, or agentic/LLM workflows. Eligible categories include AI infrastructure, developer tooling, network extensions, AI applications, data pipelines, and experimental systems aligned with decentralized compute.

What are Nosana Compute Credits?

Nosana Compute Credits are in platform credits that can be used to purchase Nosana compute directly, without the need to use NOS tokens.

How is funding distributed?

Funding is released in milestone-based phases. Once a milestone is completed and verified, the next tranche is unlocked.

Is this an accelerator or incubator program?

No. This is a non-dilutive grants program, not an accelerator. We do not take board seats, equity, or operational control.

Does the program provide technical engineering support?

No. The program offers light mentorship and community guidance, but not dedicated engineering, debugging, or hands-on development support.
